Watercolor DANCING WITH COLOR - Terry Denson
"Golden Glow"
This workshop will assist the watercolorist, or any other painter, in selecting the color schemes and specific paints that will produce a painting that projects the desired atmosphere, be it vibrant or gentle and glowing.
Participants will learn the properties of a variety of paints that will allow them to chose and mix the colors needs to achieve intense colors; rich, transparent darks; or glowing gray tones. Participants will use or view a variety of techniques for applying color; learn established color principles for planning and evaluating works in progress; learn how to select paints and colors and organize them into special palettes (4) conduct their own self-critique using a checklist of design principles: color key, color contrast, and color dominance, for evaluating their own watercolors.
